CONTEST NAME:

The Hurry, Hurry Hard contest from Maple Leaf Foods Inc.

PRIZES:

Four Grand Prizes available to be won.

Each Grand Prize winner and a friend will attend a 3-4 hour group curling lesson with Team Gushue, to be scheduled at the convenience of Team Gushue.

HOW TO ENTER:

No purchase necessary.

Limit one entry per household. Completed entry form must be mailed in an envelope bearing sufficient postage and received by no later than the contest closing date (see below).

Contest entry submission must be readily legible.

To enter, print your name, complete address, age, telephone number, and correct answer to the skill-testing question on the official in-store or online entry form (or a hand-drawn facsimile of the entry form) which together with six (6) paper labels from Maple Leaf® Vienna Sausage tins (or six (6) hand-drawn reasonable facsimiles of Maple Leaf® Vienna Sausage labels) must be mailed to:

CONTEST PERIOD:

 The contest begins on November 10th, 2008 at 12:01 a.m. (NST) and ends at 11:59 p.m. (NST) on December 31st, 2008, which is the Contest Closing Date. Contest entries must be postmarked by the Contest Closing Date.

ELIGIBILITY:

The contest is open only to persons who are residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, who, at the time of entry, have reached the age of majority, except employees (and persons with whom such employees are domiciled), directors, officers, and agents of Maple Leaf Foods Inc., its affiliated / associated companies, advertising and promotional agencies, (collectively the Contest Sponsor), and the contest judging organization.

In order to win, selected entrants first must have correctly answered, unaided, the mathematical skill-testing question on the official ballot or hand-drawn facsimile. Secondly, each selected entrant must sign the Contest Sponsor’s Release confirming acceptance of each prize awarded and releasing the Contest Sponsor and others named in the Release from all liability.

The decisions of the Contest Sponsor are final with respects to all aspects of this Contest including, but not limited to, eligibility of entrants and the correctness of their answer to the skill-testing question.

DRAWING FOR PRIZES:

A random draw for the four (4) Grand Prizes will be made on or about January 5th, 2009, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (NST) in St. John’s, NL, from among all eligible entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date.

AWARDING PRIZE(S):

The potential prize winners will be notified by telephone or mail within ten (10) business days of the draw.

Prize arrangements will be made directly with the winners at their homes.

Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and is not convertible to cash.

The odds of being selected depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

GENERAL RULES:

Neither the Contest Sponsor nor the contest judging organization will be responsible for entries lost, misdirected, delayed, or destroyed.

All entries submitted become the property of the Contest Sponsor and none will be returned.

No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants.

By entering, contestants consent to the use of their name and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by the Contest Sponsor without further compensation.

Winners agree that neither the Contest Sponsor nor the contest judging organization will have any liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize.

The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend this contest.

Winners will be required to sign a declaration confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and a Release in a form acceptable to the Contest Sponsor and releasing it, the contest judging organization, and others named in the declaration and release from all liability of any kind in connection with this contest or occurring as a result of the prize being awarded. Such release at Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion may include a requirement for an affidavit and indemnity from the Prize Winner to the effect that the Prize Winner was not, nor were they during the period of the contest, an employee, or domiciled with an employee director, officer, and agent of Maple Leaf Foods Inc., its affiliated / associated companies, advertising and promotional agencies or the Independent Contest Judging Organization, and at Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion the Prize Winner may be required to provide their occupation and employer in order to substantiate their eligibility.

The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.

By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and decisions of the contest judging organization which are final.
